Jennifer's Reserve Grand Champion Chocolate Pecan Pie!

2 Eggs

1 ½ Cups of Sugar

3 ½ tbsn of Cocoa

Pinch of salt

½ stick of butter

1 small can of evaporated milk

1 teaspoon of vanilla

1 cup of chopped pecans

1 unbaked 9” pie crust

(click here for the crust recipe)

Beat eggs, whisk in sugar, cocoa, salt milk,

and melted butter, then add pecans, and vanilla and mix well.

Pout into pie crust and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 40 minutes. Watch the pie closely at this point and remove it from the oven when the pie is “almost set” but is not hard/firm.  Depending on the stove and altitude, baking time may vary from 40 to 60 minutes.  Use a “pie baking ring” to protect the crust if needed.

Makes a great-tasting, fudgy pie!

Congratulations to Jennifer Hoelscher!!
